D'BREEON is Bryant Michael Davis - saxophonist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Markham, Illinois, now making music in Southern California.
The journey: an invitation to record at Prince's Paisley Park Studios in Spring 1988, one week before graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. A mid-90s run in David E. Talbert's gospel musical "Lawd Ha' Mercy," understudying Morris Day alongside Jerome Benton and The Clark Sisters. Years as a Recording Academy voting member. Four decades of records across R&B, smooth jazz, dance, and gospel - including "Love Potion," which hit #1 on the iTunes Dance Albums chart in June 2024, and the new album "RIGHT ON TIME."
He tells the whole story in his book, "One Week Before Graduation: My Week at Paisley Park" - and every Sunday, live on YouTube.
